Steven Marshall

PRESIDENT & CHAIRMAN

Steven is the President and Chairman at Port Colorado. In 2011, Steven led a group to acquire the property and has spearheaded the project since that time. Steven’s focus is on leadership and the strategic direction of Port Colorado, which has led the project to becoming the next great economic engine for the Metro Denver area and the region. Among his duties at Port Colorado, he oversees all contract negotiations and manages the vast Team of consultants through the development and entitlement process. Those areas include Design, Civil Engineering, Water, Rail and Energy. Steven’s experience includes 25 years in domestic and international exploration and production of natural resources. He was the founder of two privately held oil & gas exploration and production companies focused on development of high impact plays across both North America and Africa. Steven’s career focus has been dedicated to the acquisition of land and mineral interests, with a precise commitment to maturing those assets for development and asset appreciation. Steven performed his undergraduate studies at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX.

Nick Hernandez

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Nick Hernandez is a career commercial real estate professional with a gift for the big picture. A Texas native, Hernandez is a serial entrepreneur. Having launched multiple successful real estate businesses, he knows how to build and drive dynamic teams toward outstanding results. Hernandez got his start in real estate primarily in the restaurant and retail space. Most recently Hernandez, working alongside world-class architects, built a niche for himself in the mixed-use consulting industry. Utilizing his keen eye for aesthetic and function, Hernandez has worked on some of the most high-profile mixed-use projects in the country. Prior to joining Port Colorado, Hernandez also lead his own retail real estate development company, where he built multiple retail shopping centers in the greater Houston and Southeast Texas markets.

As Port Colorado’s CEO, Hernandez has his finger on the pulse of the company’s overall vision and direction. He spends his time ensuring Port Colorado continues to build to the future, including building out infrastructure that will support Port Colorado for the next 30 years. His vision for Port Colorado is a cohesive, sustainable, comprehensive mixed-use development that will bring Colorado to the world stage as a global economic player.

Invested heavily in his community, Hernandez has long been committed to making a difference. From Habitat for Humanity to the Houston Food Bank, Hernandez has given his time graciously in areas that reflect his personal values.

Will Metcalf

EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT – LOGISTICS & RAIL

Will is Executive Vice President of Logistics and Rail at Port Colorado with a focus on Business Development and Project Management. Will is responsible for the management and development of rail and logistics within Port Colorado’s rail-served industrial park. Prior to joining Port Colorado, Will spent 11 years as a Vice President of Industrial Development at OmniTRAX / Broe Group, where he led many of the company’s largest business initiatives and projects.  Will’s background includes over 15 years in commercial real estate brokerage in the Denver Metro area across all product types including industrial, office, retail and land. Will attended the University of Denver where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate Finance and Construction Management.

Kelsey B. Hall

SR. LAND & PROJECT MANAGER

Kelsey is the Land & Project Manager at Port Colorado. At Port Colorado, Kelsey drives surface and sub-surface land development through the management of Port Colorado’s diverse project set: including renewables, municipal approvals, civil engineering, utilities, water and sanitation services. With a robust background in land, mineral development and project management, Kelsey has brought over $800 million in transactions to a close throughout her career. Prior to joining the team, her experience included developing large scale energy projects at ConocoPhillips Company for over 7 years. Kelsey received her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Energy Commerce from Texas Tech University.

Theron Skidmore

SENIOR CONSTRUCTION MANAGER

Theron is the Senior Construction Manager at Port Colorado. Theron is focused on leading and managing all aspects of construction, both horizontal and vertical, throughout the entire development. This includes pre-planning, site logistics, design, bidding, cost management,  contract negotiations, infrastructure, and buildings. Theron has been involved in construction for 27 years.  Nineteen of those years were spent working at General Contractors in Colorado running large commercial construction projects across various market sectors in the industry, with Brinkmann Constructors and GE Johnson Construction being the most recent. Theron received a Masters degree in Psychology from Central Michigan University, then continued his education at the University of Denver – Daniels College of Business, where he obtained a second Masters degree in Real Estate and Construction Management.

ADMINISTRATION MANAGER

Loren is the Administration & Account Manager at Port Colorado. Joining the team in 2011, Loren is responsible for managing all administrative affairs, accounts payable and receivable, and financial reporting. Loren’s background includes a diverse set of experience including AP & AR management, as well as, title research and the management of land acquisition teams.
